Len Baynes Named to “Power 100”

Professor Leonard M. Baynes has always recognized that one determined individual has the power to make a difference in others’ lives.  And Len has consistently wielded his power to open the pipeline of opportunity for minority students seeking to join the legal profession.  Len’s contributions have been widely recognized — including with the St. John’s University President’s Medal, the New York State Bar Association’s Diversity Trailblazer Award, and the American Bar Association’s Alexander Award.

Len’s most recent honor was bestowed by the media company “On Being a Black Lawyer,” which named him one of the 100 most influential black attorneys in the United States. In particular, Len was recognized for his work as a “Pipeline Builder.” The “Power 100” were recognized at reception in Washington DC last week and are commemorated in this special publication.  More stories about Len’s recognition can be found here and here.  Congratulations, Len.
